About Us
The Institute of Agriculture Technology is working under the aegis of M R M Trust registered in 2016 under the provision of Indian Trust Act, 1882 as Public charitable Trust. The Institute is working for socio-economic development and educational excellence of youths through skill training, capacity building programmes for harnessing the potential from agriculture and allied sector including High- Tech Horticulture like vertical farming including hydroponic and protected cultivation of vegetables, cucurbits, culinary herbs and other leafy vegetables. Dissemination of knowledge & technologies and ensuring timely availability of input support services like quality seed, fertilizer, plant protection measure to enhance production and productivity of crops and post-harvest management, value addition, product development as well as marketing of farmer’s produce at remunerative price to achieve the goal of doubling farmer’s income as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
The Institute has 25 senior professionals from different disciplines comprising Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Management, Social Science, Environmental Science, Horticulture Science, Medical Science for carrying out R& D activities besides senior professionals for policy decisions.
Institute of Agriculture Technology has 11 professionals for carrying out R & D activities and schemes & programmes of socio-economic development and educational excellence of rural youths. The team of these 11 experts/ scientists are from distinct disciplines like Horticulture, Agronomy, Entomology, Management, Environmental Science, Sociology, Social Work, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering,
Food and Nutrition, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture Extension Education, Genetics and Plant Breeding etc are working for capacity building of rural farmers, transfer of improved production technologies at grass root level for socio-economic development of farmers , women empowerment, tribal development and resurrection of indigenous knowledge & technologies.
